WHAT THE CRiTICS SAID:

'To those of us who know JM Barrie only for Peter Pan [this] was a revelation...full of crisp social observation...a gem: succinct, wry, beautifully played, funny and engrossing. The double bill made me want to read more of Barrie, and left me dazzled once more by the class act that is Julia McKenzie.'

Elizabeth Mahoney,

THE GUARDIAN

'Julia McKenzie perfectly balances gravity and frivolity.'

Martin Hoyle,

THE FINANCIAL TIMES

'With an all star cast these early 20th century gems deservedly play to a wider audience.'

Chris Gardener,

RADIO TIMES

'These witty forays by the author of Peter Pan...were dazzling!'

Sue Arnold,

The Twelve Pound Look and Seven Women

1x45'

Julia McKenzie adapts and directs two more short plays, with all star-casts, and Barrie's exquisite stage-directions.

Seven Women
In this witty piece about childhood reunion, and eccentric womanhood, Mr & Mrs Tovey are a 'pleasant couple of agreeable age'. The play precedes a dinner party at their Chelsea home. Captain Rattrey (Inky Paws) arrives early and engages in banter with his old school friend Tovey (Bobbin) about which women are coming to the party. Tovey says that one of them is a murderess, and challenges old inky paws to work out which one...
