John Dankworth presents a three-part look at the legacy of the greatest living jazz pianist, Oscar Peterson. This special three-part documentary explores the great man’s life and work and features at its heart an exclusive, in depth interview with Peterson, recorded in April 2003. The series includes rare archives and an interview with long time collaborator, bassist Niels Pederson. Peterson is widely admired beyond the jazz world and the series also features an interview with fellow pianist and conductor Andre Previn, who is a great friend and admirer.
