One of the most influential composers of the 20th century, Antonio Carlos Jobim is regarded as 'the George Gershwin of Brazil'. Guy Barker presents a journey into the life, music and worldwide legacy of the country’s greatest composer eighty years after his birth. Along the way, he speaks to the key players of the UK Bossa Nova scene, as well as the modern Brazilian recording artists who cite Jobim as the central influence on their work. Jobim's’ son Paulo also describes his upbringing during a rare interview specially recorded in the home of Bossa Nova, Rio de Janeiro.
