Big Impressionist, Alistair McGowan joined the Alex Lowe Double Act last night for the pilot recording of the new Radio 2 comedy sketch show.
Alistair and Alex perform a series of sketches, characters and monolgues (and the odd impression). And we find out how Alex really got Alistair to take part in the show.

The pair were also joined by the multi-talented Charlotte Page who helped bring the sketches to life.
The Alex Lowe Double Act will be broadcast at 10.00pm on Saturday 15 May.
It was devised and produced by Ashley Blaker.

Comic duo Alistair McGowan and Stephan Mangan join the cast this week to record their parts in ATT’s Radio 4 drama, Final Demands.
They join Tom Conti and Barbara Kellermann in one episode each of the 6 part series chronicling English social life and public and private values in the last decade of the brutal 20th century.

It’s now the 1990s, and for all of those friends from the fifties life has moved on. Frederic Raphael once again brings his all wit and invention and insight to his diverse, vivid, and utterly convincing group of characters.
Final Demands comes to BBC Radio 4 in March 2010.

He is supported by a stellar cast including Gina McKee (Our Friends in the North, Notting Hill), Felicity Montagu (I’m Alan Partidge, Bridget Jones’ Dairy), Hugh Bonneville (Notting Hill, Mansfield Park) and Nicholas Jones (Little Dorrit, Vera Drake)
Hoffnung comes to Radio 4 later in the year!
