In the hot seats this Sunday (18 Oct.) are two guests beset by problems. Eastender Phil Daniels who played Kevin Wicks and Jimmy in Quadrophenia has seen more than his fair share of misfortune, having been killed in a car crash on New Year’s Eve 2008.
Jo Caulfield is a veteran stand up comic, who found fame after she moved to London, working as a waitress, and set up her own comedy night in a basement bar. She’s never looked back, working with Rory Bremner and being Graham Norton’s head writer.
Bob Mills is away this week, so sitting in Bob’s naughty chair will be screenwriter, novelist and stand-up, Dominic Holland.
This week’s Christian O’Connell Solution agenda will tackle finding a new set of rules for MPs expenses, renaming Newcastle Brown Ale now that it’s moving to Yorkshire, ways to wean youngsters off the net, adding new drama to election night, what Derek Achora should ask Michael Jackson at his live seance, and what should be put on Trafalgar Square’s fourth plinth.
Listen to The Christian O’Connell Solution on BBC Radio 5live every Sunday at 11.00am or listen again at bbc.co.uk/5live
