We’ve been busy working behind the scenes to create an exciting and fun programme for Radio 5live.
COCS will be an hour long live show where Christian and his guests will try to find novel solutions to problems thrown up in the weekly news. If only they’d put us in charge!
Christian will be joined by some of the biggest and brightest names in comedy, television and sport to solve the world’s problems. If you think you can think of something better, get in touch with the show and Christian will at least try to make it happen!
The Christian O’Connell Solution comes to Radio 5live every Sunday morning at 11 from September 6th. Watch this space!

This week we finished recording the latest series of On The Blog - Above the Title’s Radio 2 sitcom
Caroline Quentin, Andy Taylor, Simon Greenall, DeNica Fairman and writers Kris Dyer and Dave Marks had great fun in the studio creating the “cast of thousands” feel to the show.
This series takes Andrew Glasgow to new places: twittering co-workers, off the wall housemates and a semi-domesticated fox. But he’s never too far away from his mother!

Above the Title will be bringing the history of the life and work of one of the world’s biggest selling artists, Nana Mouskouri to BBC Radio 2 later this year
2010 will be Nana Mouskouri’s 50th year as a recording artist, during her remarkable career she has sold more records worldwide than The Police, Oasis, Radiohead and Tom Jones combined.
She has sung around 1500 songs in 15 different languages and sold over 300 million records, making her one of the world’s biggest selling artists of all time.
Above the Title are proud to build on the success of their recent Radio 2 series exploring the life of Charles Aznavour in exploring the great life of perhaps the busiest woman in showbusiness!
Lisa Meyer will produce this 4-part series. Executive Producer will be Brian King

Against strong industry-wide and BBC in-house competition, Above the Title is delighted to announce it has landed the new BBC Radio 5live Sunday 11am strand featuring Christian O’Connell. The programme is to be called “The Christian O’Connell Solution” and features a format conceived by ATT for R5L.
The weekly live comedy show will be presented by Christian O’Connell plus regular guests.
The live one hour show will have an initial run of 15 weeks from the beginning of September 2009.
ATT’s creative director Adam Bromley will executive-produce. Jonathan Wall of R5L commissioned the strand.

Annetta Hoffnung, wife of the late Gerard, joined us at the Soundhouse Studios to record Hoffnung: Drawn to Music, our latest Radio 4 comedy written by the great Alan Stafford.
Real-life Annetta plays a cameo of herself to complement the superbly interpreted ‘Young Annetta’ played by Gina McKee.
Annetta was delighted with Matt Lucas’ faithful rendition of her husband’s voice and character.
Hoffnung will be broadcast on BBC Radio 4 in the Autumn.
